Affiliate Program Terms
Last updated October 2, 2026
These terms apply to everyone who takes part in the SwingLEAP affiliate program. By sharing your affiliate link, you agree to them.
1. Joining the program
The program is open to SwingLEAP customers and to outside creators, educators and communities. We review applications and may decline, pause or end any participation at our discretion.
You must give us accurate contact, payout and tax information and keep it up to date. Your affiliate handle identifies your link and must not imitate SwingLEAP or another person or brand.
If you have a paid SwingLEAP plan, you're enrolled automatically: your link is under Share & Earn, and your handle is your invite code. Links you shared under our earlier invite-credit program (swingleap.io/?ref=YourCode) now count as your affiliate link. Rewards already earned or pending under that earlier program are still honored under its rules.
2. How referrals are tracked
swingleap.io/?aff=YourHandle (earlier invite links, swingleap.io/?ref=YourCode, work the same way). When a visitor arrives through it, their browser remembers your handle for 30 days.If the visitor later arrives through a different affiliate's link, the most recent link within the 30 days gets the credit (last click wins).
You're credited when that visitor buys a Starter, Trader or Wealth Builder subscription on swingleap.io in the same browser within the 30 days, and they meet all of these conditions:
- they're a new customer: they have never had a SwingLEAP plan before;
- they weren't already referred to SwingLEAP through another SwingLEAP referral program;
- they aren't you, and the account isn't one you own or control.
Tracking relies on the visitor's browser. If they clear or block site storage, switch devices or browsers, or the 30 days pass, the referral may not be credited. Add-ons such as AI Insights don't earn commission. Our tracking records decide whether a referral is credited.
3. Commission
You earn 20% of each eligible subscription payment, calculated on the amount the customer actually paid, excluding sales tax, VAT and similar taxes.
- Monthly plans: 20% of each of the customer's first 12 monthly payments.
- Annual plans: a one-time 20% of the first annual payment. Annual renewals don't earn commission.
- No commission is earned on free trials; commission starts with the first paid invoice.
- Mid-cycle upgrade or proration charges don't earn commission and don't count toward the 12 payments. Later regular payments at the new price do.
4. Holding periods
Each commission is held before it can be paid, to cover refunds and payment disputes:
- the commission on each referred customer's first payment is held for 35 days from the payment date;
- commissions on that customer's later payments are held for 14 days each.
After its holding period, a commission becomes cleared and eligible for payout.
5. Payouts
Payouts are made once a month, on the 15th, for affiliates whose cleared, unpaid balance is at least $50.00 USD on that date. Balances under $50.00 roll over and are paid on the first payout date the balance reaches $50.00.
Payouts are made in US dollars through a payout method we support (currently PayPal). We can't pay you until your payout details are complete, and, once your cash payouts in a calendar year reach $2,000, until a valid tax form is on file. We aren't responsible for fees or currency conversion charged by your payout provider.
If you have a SwingLEAP subscription, you can instead receive commissions as SwingLEAP account credit. Credit is added once each commission's holding period ends, with no minimum, and is applied automatically to your future SwingLEAP invoices. Credit has no cash value and can't be withdrawn, transferred or refunded. Subscribers enrolled automatically are paid in credit unless they switch to PayPal on their affiliate dashboard; you can switch at any time, and the change applies to commissions not yet paid.
6. Refunds, chargebacks and cancellations
If a payment is refunded, disputed or charged back, the commission on it is reversed. If that commission was already paid to you, the amount is deducted from your future balances.
When a referred customer cancels, no further commissions are earned on that customer.
7. Taxes
You're responsible for any taxes on your commissions. Before we pay you, we may require a Form W-9 (US persons) or Form W-8BEN or W-8BEN-E (non-US persons), and we may issue tax forms such as Form 1099 where the law requires. We may withhold payment, or withhold tax where required, until valid forms are on file.
8. Disclosure and marketing rules
You must:
- clearly disclose that you earn a commission whenever you share your link or recommend SwingLEAP, in a way your audience will notice (for example, “I earn a commission if you subscribe through my link”), as required by the US Federal Trade Commission's endorsement rules and similar laws elsewhere;
- describe SwingLEAP accurately: it's a planning and record-keeping tool for options traders. It doesn't recommend trades, predict prices, execute orders or provide investment, tax or brokerage advice;
- never promise or imply trading profits, returns or performance results from using SwingLEAP.
You must not:
- refer yourself or accounts you own or control;
- use cookie stuffing, forced clicks, pop-ups, hidden iframes, automated scripts or any other method that sets your tracking without a real, intentional click;
- bid on “SwingLEAP”, “SwingLEAP options” or similar trademark terms or misspellings in paid search or paid social ads;
- run paid ads that send visitors directly to swingleap.io or through cloaked or redirect links; paid traffic must go to your own content first;
- send spam or unsolicited messages, or post your link where the platform doesn't allow it;
- present yourself as SwingLEAP or as speaking on its behalf.
9. Fraud and audits
We may review any referral or commission. We may hold commissions while we investigate suspected fraud or a breach of these terms, and reverse or cancel commissions that resulted from one. Commissions earned in breach of these terms are forfeited.
10. Changes and ending participation
We may change these terms, including commission rates, with advance notice by email or by updating this page. Changes don't reduce commissions already earned.
You can leave the program at any time. We may end your participation at any time; if we end it for a breach of these terms, unpaid commissions may be forfeited. Otherwise, cleared commissions are paid under section 5.
11. Our relationship
You're an independent contractor, not an employee, partner or agent of SwingLEAP, and you can't make commitments on our behalf. You may use the SwingLEAP name to refer to the product and your link. Any other use of our logos or brand needs our permission.
