TradeZella Alternatives for Swing and LEAPS Options Traders

Quick picks
- SwingLEAP: best if you hold options for days to months and want to write the plan before you enter, get alerts at your own targets on the underlying stock, and check later whether you followed the plan. Not for you if you need automatic broker sync, trade replay, live Greeks or futures and forex.
- TraderSync: best if you want to keep auto-sync and replay but care most about exits: exit-efficiency analytics and options spread recognition. Not for you if you want planning built into every plan tier.
- TradesViz: best value if you want to slice your history every way possible, with an options backtester and simulator on higher tiers. Not for you if you want a free plan that covers options; the free plan is stocks only.
- Tradervue: best if you want a mature, no-frills journal with strong reports, trade sharing and mentoring. Not for you if you want planning, replay or AI features; it doesn't list them.
- Edgewonk: best if you pay yearly anyway and want every feature in one $197 plan, with strong psychology and routine tracking. Not for you if you want broker auto-sync or monthly billing.

What TradeZella does well
TradeZella syncs trades automatically from 500+ broker and prop-firm integrations, includes options charts and an options expiration report, and adds trade replay, backtesting and Zella AI reviews. If you place many trades a week and want them in your journal without exporting files, it's hard to beat. Plans are Essential $35/mo, Pro $59/mo and Ultra $99/mo, or about 25% less paid yearly, with no free plan.
The trade-off is focus. Much of that feature set is aimed at day traders and prop-firm traders who review many sessions. A swing or LEAPS position is decided once, held through news and earnings, and often built in pieces, so the useful review is whether you followed the plan you wrote, not a replay of the tape.
Where SwingLEAP fits
SwingLEAP starts before the trade. You write a plan with the contract, entry and exit targets on the underlying stock, capital and maximum risk, and the thesis. Alerts fire as the stock approaches your levels, so you don't have to watch the position every day. When you trade, you import or log the fills, including several entries and partial exits on one position, and SwingLEAP compares what you did with the plan and tracks realized P&L and progress toward your goals.
It doesn't sync with your broker automatically, place orders, show live Greeks or option chains, or recommend trades. For the full side-by-side, read SwingLEAP vs TradeZella, or see how the LEAPS tracker and planner and swing trading options workflow work.
Common questions
Why look for a TradeZella alternative?
TradeZella is a strong all-round journal, but it has the highest entry price in our comparison ($35/mo, or $26/mo paid yearly), and much of its feature set (sync, replay, backtesting and AI session reviews) is aimed at day traders and prop-firm traders. If you hold a few options positions for weeks or months, you may want a tool that helps before the trade, or simply one that costs less.
Which TradeZella alternative is best for options?
It depends on how you trade. For swing and LEAPS positions where the plan matters most, SwingLEAP is built around planning before entry and comparing the result with the plan. For spreads and exit analytics, TraderSync. For the deepest analytics at a low price, TradesViz. For an all-features yearly plan, Edgewonk.
Does SwingLEAP sync with my broker like TradeZella?
No. SwingLEAP imports trade-history files you export from your broker, and you review each import before saving. With a handful of swing or LEAPS positions, a weekly import is usually enough. If you place many trades a day, an auto-sync journal such as TradeZella or TraderSync will save more time.
Does SwingLEAP tell me which trades to take?
No. SwingLEAP doesn't recommend trades, predict prices or place orders. You bring the trade idea and trade at your broker; SwingLEAP keeps the plan, alerts you at the levels you set and records what actually happened.
