How to Add SwingLEAP to an iPhone to Receive Push Notifications
Open swingleap.io in Safari on your iPhone, tap the Share button, choose Add to Home Screen, then tap Add. The SwingLEAP icon appears on your home screen and opens full-screen like an app — and on iPhone, push notifications only work from this installed home-screen app.
Steps
- Open swingleap.io in Safari on your iPhone (use Safari, not Chrome — only Safari supports adding web apps to the home screen on iPhone).
- Tap the Share button (the square with an arrow) at the bottom of the screen.
- Scroll down the share sheet and tap Add to Home Screen.
- Tap Add — the SwingLEAP icon appears on your home screen and opens full-screen like an app.
After installing: turn on push notifications
Open SwingLEAP from the home-screen icon, then go to Settings → Notification preferences and enable Push notifications. Allow the browser permission when your iPhone asks.
Why the home screen app is required on iPhone
iOS only delivers web push notifications to sites the user has added to the home screen first. If you use SwingLEAP in a normal Safari tab, push notifications will not arrive even when they are enabled.
Android phones do not have this requirement — enabling push in Chrome is enough there.
